Common issues and solutions (2FA )

Did not receive the reset email

What you see: The "Help is on its way!" screen appears, but no email arrives.

What to do:

  1. Wait up to 5 minutes — delivery can sometimes be delayed.
  2. Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder.
  3. Make sure you entered the correct email address on the reset screen.
  4. Click "click here to resend" on the confirmation screen to request a new email.
  5. If the problem continues, see below.

"Having trouble receiving the reset link?" screen

What you see: After multiple failed attempts to receive the reset email, MICEtribe shows the message:

"Having trouble receiving the reset link? For your security, our support team has been notified and will contact you shortly at [your email] to help resolve the issue."

What this means: MICEtribe has flagged the issue, and your support team will reach out to the email address on file.

What to do:

  • Wait for the support team to contact you.
  • You can also proactively reach out to MICEtribe support at help@micetribe.com or call +971 58 523 6423.
  • Do not attempt to create a new account with the same email — this may cause further issues.

2FA code not received

What you see: You are on the Two-factor authentication screen but no code arrives.

What to do:

  1. Check both your email inbox and SMS messages — the code is sent to your registered email or phone number.
  2. Check your spam folder.
  3. Click "Click here to resend" on the 2FA screen to request a new code.
  4. Make sure the phone number on your account is correct. You can update it in Account Settings after signing in.

2FA code expired

What you see: You enter the code but the system rejects it.

What to do:

  • Each code is valid for 5 minutes only. If too much time passed before you entered it, the code is no longer valid.
  • Click "Click here to resend" to get a fresh code and enter it promptly.

New password not accepted

What you see: The "Take me to my account" button does not proceed, or an error appears on the password field.

What to do:

  • Make sure the new password has at least 8 characters, 1 letter, 1 number, and 1 symbol.
  • Make sure both the Password and Confirm Password fields are identical.
  • Use the eye icon on each field to reveal what you typed and check for differences.
  • Avoid reusing your previous password — MICEtribe may reject it.

Reset link already used or expired

What you see: Clicking the reset link in the email leads to an error or returns you to the sign-in page.

What to do:

  • Password reset links can only be used once and expire after a set period.
  • Go back to the sign-in page, click Forgot password? again, and request a new reset email.

Tips

  • The reset email comes from the MICEtribe team — add help@micetribe.com to your contacts to prevent future emails from going to spam.
  • If you signed up using Google or LinkedIn, you do not have a MICEtribe password. To access your account, always use the social sign-in buttons on the sign-in page — the forgot password flow will not apply to you.
  • After resetting your password, all other active sessions on other devices will be signed out automatically.
