[Locations & Timezone](https://help.micetribe.com/en/knowledge/event-creation-management?hsLang=en#locations-timezone) # Common issues and solutions ( Locations & Timezone) ### Venue not found in search results **What you see:** Typing the venue name shows no results or incorrect results. **What to do:** - Try searching by the full address instead of the venue name - Try searching by the city name only, then adjust the pin manually on the map - Make sure there are no typos in the venue name --- ### Auto-generated venue name or address is wrong **What you see:** After selecting a venue from the search, the venue name or address shown below the map is incorrect or in a different language. **What to do:** - Click directly on the **Venue name** field and type the correct name - Click on the **Displayed venue address** field and update it manually - These edits will be saved automatically --- ### Red pin is in the wrong location **What you see:** The pin is placed near but not exactly on the correct venue. **What to do:** - Click and drag the pin to the exact location - Use the zoom controls to get a closer view before repositioning - Click **⚠ Re-center** if you lose sight of the pin while navigating the map  ![](https://help.micetribe.com/hs-fs/hubfs/%7BD991DCF0-FACC-4ED8-8022-60AA067C97E7%7D-png.png?width=318&height=167&name=%7BD991DCF0-FACC-4ED8-8022-60AA067C97E7%7D-png.png) --- ### Timezone is incorrect **What you see:** The timezone shown below the map does not match your event's actual timezone.  ![](https://help.micetribe.com/hs-fs/hubfs/%7B519DC974-BFC4-4804-BAA9-607C6C6540FD%7D-png.png?width=502&height=130&name=%7B519DC974-BFC4-4804-BAA9-607C6C6540FD%7D-png.png) **What to do:** - The timezone is set automatically based on the pin location — move the pin to the correct city or venue to update it - For virtual events, search for the correct city to set the right timezone --- ### Map not loading **What you see:** The map area appears blank or grey. **What to do:** - Check your internet connection - Refresh the page — your previously saved venue will still be there - Try a different browser if the map continues to not load ### **Tips** - Always double-check the auto-generated venue name and address — they are pulled from Google Maps and may sometimes use a local language or abbreviated format. - For hybrid events (in-person + virtual), set the physical venue location so in-person attendees have the correct address. - Use **Cmd/Ctrl + scroll** to zoom the map quickly instead of clicking the zoom buttons repeatedly. - The timezone is set automatically — you do not need to select it manually as long as the pin is in the right location.
